Timetabling a train at platform 4 of darlington always results in validation asking for either 4A, 4B, or to 4B via the Dn Bypass, is 4 as a whole usable?

However, for scoring purposes, 4, 4A, and 4B are all considered the same platform already. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

As a bit of historical context when I first started travelling intensively on the route in the early 1990s the ECML trains stopped level with the main station buildings across the points from the Bypass. I can't remember when it changed but by the time my rail travelling came to an end in the mid 2000's the ECML trains pulled forward to 4B. An unintended consequence was that the punters in the posh end saw a pedestrian stampede along the aisles as very few passengers at Darlington walked along the platform, instead nearly all boarding the rear carriages then having to walk forward to the steerage.
