Hi Someone posted a picture of the Dagenham Storage exit signal here - it seems to be a full 4-aspect signal? Thanks Jamie Jamie S (JAMS) Log in to reply |

The signal number is 4 digits which, for this area, means a GPL. However, I'm aware a few have been upgraded over the years to main aspects and kept their 1xxx numbers. If anyone has information on when this particular one was upgraded, I'd be grateful.

The live map on OTT still has it as a ground signal but that could well be out of date as a few of that site's maps are. https://www.opentraintimes.com/maps/signalling/lts#T_DGNHMDC On the other hand it seems that the Signal Maps site has it as a proper signal as can be seen just to the left of Dagenham Dock station on this map: https://signalmaps.co.uk/#lts3:1591 Dave Log in to reply |

I have mentioned that UR1176 at the Jurgens end of Purfleet Long Sidings is a ground based 4 aspect signal.
