I've avoided that TT because 1964 isn't really my sort of interest and I couldn't work out how it would work given the 60's KGX was very, very different. I've always passed it by - i'll give it a crack though! I've just bought my LTS licence, but I do always go back to KGX

I started doing a 1948 WTT for London Bridge ASC. But even though there were a lot of multiple units running around then, it became very clear that it would never work on the 1970s layout of London Bridge ASC. And so I tried looking at a 2020 WTT for London Bridge ASC. Again, came across the same issue. In both cases the layouts had changed significantly in the London Bridge area and having signalled trains in real life in the area, both at London Bridge ASc & TBROC, I knew the layouts had changed significantly and the flow of trains would never work.. I have tried uaing the various WTTs produced for Simsigs simulation that are out of area, and whilst they run and a lot of work has been put into them, they are not really enjoyable to run because, especially with Kings Cross, they are clearly not suited to the modern layout.
I have decided to stick with the eras the layouts are designed for in creating WTT's. What I have started toying with in creating WTTS, that is adding fictional trains that use every siding/route etc on the layout that is not used or under-used by existing WTTs.

Professionalism mean nothing around a bunch of Amatuer wannabees!

I think fictional timetables, a "this is what we could have" sort of thing would be enjoyable.

The Brighton (and Lancing) timetable has a 1988 true to life one, and there are services to Bournemouth, Reading and up north. The issue is the service is less intense, the era is suits the SIM however.

I would enjoy a TT with 1988 stock, destination etc but more modern service levels or vice versa if appropriate on other Sims, with functional services that are grounded in realistic alternative realities.

There's a fictional timetable for Westbury known as 'Westbury Commuter Hub' which was pretty good in this way

Bit of a bump, but I would have to say Carlisle approaches if not exceeds the maximum one person playing the game can handle. Even running slightly under 1:1 time and frequently hitting the pause button I was struggling to stay afloat. It is good fun but you are trying to fulfil the role of what in reality would be three or four signallers and the Panel Supervisor (SSM in this day and age). It's actually tougher than the old SIAM simulation of Carlisle, partly of course because in the latter you have more control over the motive power and if what is 0T02 in the SS version happens to be closer than 0T01 you grab the closest loco and also control the shunt and reverse points according to what's happening with other traffic.

You also don't lose headcodes in sidings and at GPL's which of course is what happens with SS.

It's taken me six years of playing this timetable so have any idea what's going on, and still I keep messing it up at busy times :-)

Carlisle seems to start getting easier around 0800 but the multiple moves in the station then get replaced by all th trip workings coming out of Kingmoor and having to remember to go back and close the various GF's!

With ground frames, I generally keep the lever frame on display until I have finished the move. This acts as a reminder to replace the levers and transfer control back to the PSB.
