Hi all,

Using the Cowlairs August 2006 timetable on New Cowlairs Mode, Data Version 5.6.

I've managed to bugger myself with an overlength train into platform 5 (see screenshot). I'm trying to send in 1T08 (69m) where 2W65 already is (46m). The platform length is 171m (7 vehicles). I've tried cancelling and resetting the route to no avail, but am I missing something here?

Many thanks!

JT

I had similar issues with Cowlairs, I suspect the station stops are based on the departure signal location rather than the buffer stop location
I amended all arrivals to FX and the majority of issues were removed

The thing works on measured train lengths.
Have you got a save as I need to interrogate the data.

As I suspected the axle counter total was wrong, how that happened is the question.
Did you hand of god remove any trains from Plat 5?

The attached file has been corrected.

Did not see that issue at all in testing of the 2006 TT before release (nor in CScot).

Many thanks! No, I’ve done quite well so far and not had to hand of God anywhere. Only thing might have been some TD berth interposing/tidying but I’m guessing that’s not linked to the axle counter system?

The pseudo axle counter summates the train length going in and out, somehow you'd got it up to something like 207m (from memory).

Has it calculated on TCs occupied but not accounted for only part of the train occupying the TC? If the platform doesn't fully empty (presumably hard-resetting the counter to 0 in the process) you could end up accumulating at lot of extra 'length' that doesn't exist?
