After my Carlisle megathon sessions, thought I would take a crack at NE Wales for a change of pace and to learn how SimSig approaches Absolute Block before taking on North Wales Coast. Anyhow, I see I have a train to get out of Kronospan at around 0530 but the instructions are a little bit vague, particularly as regards the Ground Frame operation. There are several levers - points, trap points and red which are presumably disc signals but the manual offers no instruction as to what order these should be operated in. I presume one of the signals controls departure from the siding, the other for arriving trains backing in, but which is which. I also assume before operating the signal I need to get line clear from Gobowen? Any advice appreciated, thanks. For a train in: - TAA T/C must be occupied + block at TOL to release frame - release GF - 1, 2, 3, 4 to authorise movement into sidings. (1 = king, 2+3 for the points, 4 for the signal) - levers back to normal, hand back the release Train out - block at LNC and siding occupied to release frame - release GF - 1, 2, 3, 5 to authorise movement out of sidings (as above, but lever 5 = signal for movement out of the sidings) - once movement complete replace levers and hand back GF release. Although you can only see one point end move, the "traps" are within the sidings. Hope this helps! Basically... What it is driver... We uh.... Log in to reply |
