We've had quite a few people joining us recently and hopefully they'll have gone into the Wiki. But how have they gotten on with the Wiki? I welcome any input into how to make it more accessible to newbies. Please post your experiences, good or bad, here. Many thanks - and welcome if you haven't already been welcomed! Geoff. Geoff, Would it help to have a direct link to the sim manuals in the 'Main Menu', as well as the one to the WIKI overall? Would improve the accessablity of the manuals and hopefully encourage their use more. I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either. Log in to reply |

Hi Geoff, On opening the "Wiki", I and many others that I know were not familiar with seeing the words "wiki", "edit this page" and "usertrack" etc and found it a bit strange thinking have I got the right web page.. My thoughts on making it simple are: 1. Change the front page to "Simsig Manual".and remove the editing, contributions etc to another link. Add click on the links below for further information. 2. Change the link 'users" to "Simsig" and change the comments to "Everything you want to know about Simsig".or something similar My 2 pence worth.
