Hello Simsig world. Karl Latham (headshot119) and myself have began to compose a 2011 TT for the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May 2011. Karl has began work on both the local and fast FGW and Cross Country Services, whilst I have started the South West Trains services between Exeter St Davids and London Waterloo. Updates will be posted here. "Signalman Exeter" Log in to reply |

Quick updates. It's now 02:00 ish in the morning and I have been working solidly since around 19:00 time has flown. There are now 108 trains in the sim, 107 of which relate to the Exmouth - Paignton - Barnstaple triangle. The 108th is a positioning move from Cardiff that was needed to form one of the peak diagrams. Some thoughts from me so far. There is no pattern to how today ran at all, although it was supposed to be a Saturday service everything was out by a couple of minutes at most places. Unit diagrams made no sense with several peak trains terminating at St James (sub-situated for Central in the sim (Known Bug)) running to St Davids and back then doing a shunt then heading back to Barnstaple or Paignton. Another cause for confusion was 2C77 which normally then forms a later service to Plymouth and then returns towards Bristol instead seemed to form an integral part of a peak Exmouth diagram. After some digging it was to do with the fact it was a bank holiday and Canton would have ended up with one to many sets for Tuesday morning. So this unit does a rather odd shunt at St Davids to get into platform one to depart to Exmouth. What Next? Well that will most likely be the XC services, though these didn't run normal Saturday diagrams today either with 2 X 220 vice HST on two diagrams. Sam Has finished the SWT services from Honiton and they will be added to the main file later today. Work will then start on FGW HST services, and finally the other FGW local services. Update: 31/05/11 The SWT services are now onto the main timetable. I have started work on the Cross Country services, and have reached 13:00 or so. Aim is to finish these by the end of today. We have no date for the Alpha release, however, we would welcome people to test the timetable before release. Drop a reply here or PM either me or Karl. "Signalman Exeter" Log in to reply |

Update: All class 2 services which run through from or to Taunton are now in the timetable. This only now leaves a handful of 2EXX trains left to be added in. Sam has progressed further with the XC services and they should be finished within the next day. This will leave just the FGW HST services to be added in. Update: I've spent an hour or so adding in the down FGW Hsts. The timetable is certainly starting to take shape now. There are now 231 trains in the timetable. If the late terminating HST from Padd still runs it stables in Exeter New Yard overnight for a shore supply connection so it doesn't go flat. Just a heads up.
