Colin, You sound like you have correctly installed the System Files but have not downloaded any simulations yet. Head to the download area and take your pick! (NB: A good beginner sim is Royston) Matt Log in to reply |

Not really a newcomer but a new machine. What are the issues with Windows 7 - I am having trouble completing Swindon download. Thanks Ray Log in to reply |

I assume you have 64 bit Windows 7, there is an issue which stops one or two of the obsolete sims from being installed.

Or install the 32bit DLL libraries.

It works fine using Linux 64-bit (after the necessary registry patch - see Wiki), where Windows 64-bit fails to run the installers of Swindon, Didcot, Liverpool Street and Stafford.

Thanks for the input guys but you are speaking to a retired CEng MIMechE here, rather than an IT wizard. I feel dabbling with things I know little about is a bit risky. I have managed to download Exeter though and I think I can get 2 displays to run simultaneously, which will help with the annoying LC's.
