Found some more niggles (my second attempt at posting - I will do it quicker to ensure I am not logged out this time) 1) Torness GF, can be released whilst a train is occupying the sections over the GF points and the points can be moved and signals cleared from Torness whilst section is occupied. 2) Cawburn Jn - this vanishes from the TT before the train reaches the junction, in fact it vanishes just after passing Newbridge junction, it vanishes after train passes EN573 3) Can somebody confirm the freight speeds between Newbridge and Bathgate as freights seem to be going at 10mph, is this correct 4) Midcalder timing point in the Dn Midclader direction seems to mark the train as having past the junction before passing the signal prior to the juntion making the train 2 minutes early which it looses at Slateford. 5) It does not seem possible, but I may be corrected to get an ARS path from Winchburgh Junction into Newbridge DPL, have tried almost everything but I could be doinnd something wrong, any suggestions would be welcome. 6) There seems to be a path missing from the Townhill UGL to the UP Cowdenbeath, if using ARS then EO724 is cleared instead of EO726 7) Using ARS and selecting Platform 119 at Waverley, and arriving train through Z will not be signalled into the platform, you have to signal it manually, I think this is a known issue though ? Thanks Blessed are the true believers, for only they shall walk the Path, and they shall be welcomed unto the realm of the Ori and made as one with Them. Log in to reply |

It would be so nice to see the bugs on each version, not edit but just see the bug board, would perhaps save time in logging things which are already fixed or listed. Probably not though as most people dont READ things... ho hum... 2 This is an ARS issue that's rather complicated and involved to explain; modifications have since been made but non-key locations (ones that are not mandatory in timetables) may still vanish from the pop-up once the train has passed the previous key location. 3 Can you be more specific as to where and when it slows down. 4 Sorted 7 Known issue- not sure that specific one can be fixed but some changes have been made which may assist through trains reaching "far end" platforms. I'll get back to you on the others later Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

3 - After train passes EN575 it slows to 11mph then to 10mph all the way through to Uphall. Currently running this as I write it so watching it now. If you want copy of TT I can send it. Will continue to watch to see if it speeds up again. Blessed are the true believers, for only they shall walk the Path, and they shall be welcomed unto the realm of the Ori and made as one with Them. I have refrained from posting anything in Wiki as somebody was harassed on the forum for making changes to Wiki some time ago.I tend to mention it here, having looked at the Wiki there is very little there. I'll look later- I see there is a 1:90 Gradient; the effect of gradients is something I've never studied. Guess the test is to send a load of trains up there with different characteristics. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

It's the gradient. Tried three trains with freight ticked at different classes (med - low - v low) set at 50mph (line speed 45) med went up at about 34, low 23 and vlow at 20. I guess as your train has max speed 25 that why it only gets to 10mph. When it gets to Livingston (Level) it accelerates a bit. Your 9D37 is doing 11 up towards Carstairs on a 1:100 at the same time. Thanks for investigating, good to know thats the cause of it.I have allowed enough time for the trip so its not a big issue. I had not considered that the gradients would be part of the sim.

I had not considered that the gradients would be part of the sim. It's relatively new and Edinburgh may have been one of the first to have it added. Although I've added to sims I've never actually explored the effect till now. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

6 In the TT you sent which train and I can investigate from there. 5 You need Newbridge Jn in the timetable. In that direction NB jn is at EN588 1 I'll list for further work. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Right there's a flaw in the path and its code- that particular path is coded as UPL not UGL platform code. As it can't find it it looks for the next match which is the CL to CL. I suspect that changing to UPL in the timetable will invalidate the arriving path. Peter Log in to reply |

Peter Thanks for coming back on all points. 5) It does not seem possible, but I may be corrected to get an ARS path from Winchburgh Junction into Newbridge DPL, have tried almost everything but I could be doinnd something wrong, any suggestions would be welcome. Have tried this and it works I would never have thought of it that way around. Another new thing cropped up today. Midcalder Junction ARS set route from 982 to 991 the GF was released at this point, the overlap passed GF4 signal into the Good Loop. I was able to alter the set the road off into the Engineers siding whereby GF4 appeared at RED, allowed me to change the points and pull of GF4 signal. No error messge from the sim. Have a save of this is you want to have a look. Blessed are the true believers, for only they shall walk the Path, and they shall be welcomed unto the realm of the Ori and made as one with Them.
