When 1H43 wants to depart Lime Street at 07:13, I route it via the Slow Lines. The Shunt signal clears instead of the main signal. Is this a bug or is this what actually happens?

If you select the shunt route exit triangle then you will get the shunt route, if you select the signal you get the main aspect. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Sam, I've sometimes set a route like that, perhaps on Bristol, and thought I had selected the main signal but in actual fact probably did select the shunt route. This is why, if I'm working a workstation or panel like this with a shunt routing arrow so close to the signal I would collar it to stop me inadvertently clicking on it whilst setting the route. If I needed to use it, I'd simply use the reminder override. That said though, I am coming up to 07:13 and 1H431 is the next train to depart so I will see if I can recreate this. In the mean time, how did you set the route? Was it 84D -> 82A -> LE58 or was it 82A -> LE58 then 84D -> 82A? edited to add Cannot recreate. " said:Yes, if you put a REM in the arrow you will see whether the clickable area is to the Left or Right of the arrow, in this case it's to the left so right up to the signal and easily accidentally clicked on. Just to confirm, the White Exit Arrow adjacent to the signals on the Up/Down Slow lines are for shunting purposes only, and will only give the shunting aspect on the platform starters. By clicking on the signals themselves on the Up/Down Slow lines, then the main aspect will be displayed.
