Hi, Thanks for the great Euston sim, I've been hoping for years that Euston would come out on Simsig. I'm working on a 1977 timetable for Euston and I am having trouble shunting locos between trains, On the Up side (P1-7) locos used to shunt via the UCS behind 53 to back onto the next train. In the sim this can't be done without the loco leaving the area and a rule being made for a new loco to appear. The only other alternative is to shunt on the Slow or Fast Lines which blocks a running line. In an update can we please have the facility to shunt behind 53? Also Euston throat is described as including 52 but there is no route to shunt from the station behind this signal. Thanks Paul Log in to reply |

Paul Not tried yet to do a rev @ UCS however there is a location of Euston S21-26 (rev) By using sigs 25 & 26 you can complete the moves. I always thought that the light locos switching used the S25 allowing access to P2-7 and S26 to P1-3 Passed the age to be doing 'Spoon Feeding' !!! Log in to reply |

Thanks Meld. Tried editing shunting to 21-26 but overlap still blocks running lines. Drivers used to be told to go behind the furthest dummy unless otherwise advised when I was at Euston. If the train that the loco is to attach to has not arrived at euston the UCS shunt kept the loco out of the way while waiting arrival. In the 2003 tt this is not much of a problem with DVTs, but in 1977 nearly every train had a loco shunt onto the train and a loco released on departure. Great sim though, enjoying operating it and creating the 77 tt. Paul Log in to reply |
