Setting a route for departure from Euston on the 1990 WTT I accidentally set the route for the adjacent platform (holding 1H10). I reset the route and waited for the route to time out. Upon 10:00, the route was now correctly set for 1H10 to depart. Expecting the customary telephone call I did not actually receive one. However, the train list did show the 1H10 driver as being on the phone. 17 minutes later the driver of 1H10 is STILL on the phone! I did close the sim down between resetting the route and 1H10's booked departure. Is there a bug in the system? Log in to reply |

Might be worth sending Clive a savegame of this so he can investigate, looks like a bug.

Did you check F6 to see if a call was waiting? Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |

There is a known* bug with certain types of phone call in progress when saving and reloading a sim. * - known to the developers anyway! SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

Also noticed that if you have the "Disable Random Failures" ticked on the F11 Control Panel, you won't get any phone calls. As soon as you remove the tick, any train at a stand that would have been making a call does. Log in to reply |

Eureka!!! The answer was not so technical after all. 1H10 finally departed Euston almost 25 minutes late. How I finally did it was to abandon the WTT for 1H10 briefly, then restore it with the next passing location. After receiving the call from 1H10 and the usual procedure, the train finally managed to depart. Problem is, the train now had to follow the Birmingham Semi-fast.
