Before posting an issue, please make sure you have done the following...
1) Read the Manual S Humberside Manual Contents. A number of queries could have been resolved simply by spending the time to read how the sim works as not all sims have the same features and may work differently.
and
2) Check the posting already made in case someone had already posted a similiar query.

{Post at LardyBiker's request by Mod}

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Ahhh...The age old question. This is asked a lot and if any of us knew the answer, we would tell you. Unfortunately, we don't and here's why....

All the developers for SimSig are volunteers and do the dev work in their spare time. Development on any sim thus has to fit in around our real jobs that pay our wages as well as our families and our personal lives. Consequently, the amount of time any one of us can spend working on a sim changes constantly week to week, month to month. This applies to all sims in development not just South Humberside.

Not only does the time we have to spend doing work on the sim vary but by its very nature, fixing issues is difficult to put a timescale on. Sometimes it's a quick fix. Sometimes it's not. Sometimes more research needs doing (which in itself can take an unknown amount of time). Even when you do fix something, sometimes it then breaks something else and it takes more time to then fix that.

Then there are updates to SimSig's core code to deal with. Most of the time, they have little affect but sometimes they mean further changes to the sim are needed. For example, the latest core code had some changes to the way chaining between sims is done and Howard and I have already spent several hours working on the South Humberside - Worksop chaining data because of this and we'll need a bit more yet as we haven't got it working fully yet.

So the upshot of all this is its nigh on impossible to put timescales on anything....so we don't. That's why most people who ask that are told "It will be ready when its ready" which doesn't tell you much but its truthful and the best we can do.

Having said all that, I have tried to post occasionally on whats going on as far as South Humberside is concerned. See the Situation Update thread for the latest info.

Hurry up lads, new compatible timetables about to the launched to the unsuspecting world! Seriously though in final testing stage so they'll be ready when they're ready. Do you want a beta version to help with your testing?
