Hi all, have found another routing problem with 5V20. It reverses at Kensal but will not accept the route from thence to Acton East. Suggestions will be gratefully accepted. I've also discovered some trains that pop up as duplicates on totally different parts of the panel. They are - so far - 6M12 6L47 6L54 6O81. I have deleted them as necessary but this will presumably leave at least one of each reporting number still on the timetable. So far have made it to around 3am on the 2003 timetable and am merely posting my observations as they occur in order to be aware of them next time I run the timetable. Many thanks again.

Perhaps posting #4 in this thread from 4 days ago may answer the first part of today's query.

I've checked the winter 2003 timetable. All the pairs of trains are in the timetable with runs 50% ticked. What is missing, I guess, are the timetable rules that say if one runs the other does not. This simulates the fact that some trains have alternative routes especially overnight. Timetable for 5V20 does indeed show it arrives with an electric loco and is to be routed on a non-electrified line - whoops! - logically it should have a diesel engine since it is going to Bristol, although I guess (no knowledge at all) that in the real thing it could have a diesel on the back when it arrives and leave the electric loco behind at Kensal Reversing siding. Would account for some of the turnround time there. jrr Log in to reply |

Hi all, feeling quite chuffed, have done my first bit of t/t editing re the problen with 5V20. Cheated and changed loco to diesel. Has just appeared on panel on a rerun and the edit has worked, yippee! Also dealing with the duplicated trains by editing down to one of each and that seems to be ok too. I'm slowly creeping through the timetable and I suspect the fun will start with the intensive passenger services. Thanks again for everyone's patience with my questions. Cheers, Mal.
