Have you looked at our Wiki? Go to Index, then Timetables. Clive has produced an excellent page named Introduction to Writing Timetables.

There's also some information here: http://www.gensheet.co.uk/SimSig.html I started out doing the Kings Cross 1964 as a step by step guide to show how a finished timetable was built up. I haven't got far since then as I've got into timetabling for the Scottish sims. However the two pdf's are probably worth a look to see how someone else makes up a timetable. My main tips are to make up a lot of small slef-contained partial timetables, and to save often ! Bill Log in to reply The following users said thank you: handle, maxand |

Handle. The wiki is linked to using a link from the "Menu Main" which is in the left hand bar of the screen you are now looking at. You need the link called "User Manuals/wiki'. On the page that appears, clock the "INDEX" text that's green at the bottom of the first table. The entries are in alphabetical order so scroll down to 'T' and find the "Timetables, Introduction to Writing" entry and click on it. The PDF's Bill mentions are on his website. If you click on the link we provided, there are several links on that have timetabling information. Thanks Bill. I've added a note about your timetable guide and additional timetables to the Wiki information on writing timetables.

Count the number of times one name appears as the last editor and you will see that Maxand has done a huge amount of work to make the Wiki a more structured and helpful place to find information. I think we owe him a vote of thanks. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Last edited: 14/03/2012 at 15:59 by postal Log in to reply The following user said thank you: handle |
