Doing a new timetable (1980s version) and having problems with timetable acceptance on a few routes namely:- 1. Horton SB > Wrawby Jcn > Barnetby WJ63rev) and/or > Down Sidings 2. Barnetby BE27 > Down Sidings 3. West Burton Cripple Sidings towards Clarborough. Trains go in OK via GF83 but using the reverse same locations for train to come out brings up timetable error. Any assistance appreciated. Thanks Log in to reply |

Thanks Noel for answering those.... '80's mode for South Humberside is on the back burner while I sort out modern mode first. Horton currently isn't included as a location so you may need to use Holton-le-Moor as the entry point instead with appropriately adjusted timings. However, if someone can Mantis that, I can make sure Horton gets added for '80's mode. The Down sidings and Up sidings GF's are both be operational in the update though in modern mode, the Up sidings GF has little affect as its actually disconnected. WJ63 is already included as reversing point with appropriate paths in the update as is the route from BE27 to Down sidings. As Noel said, the Cripples siding in the current version are not usable. The code in the update for this art an advanced stage and testing is on-going as we speak. The cripples sidings will be operational when it is finally released. Thanks guys, just wanted to check to make sure it was the sim and not me being brain dead  The WTT I have has had to be severely adjusted to take into account layout changes since 1971 not least the single line from Cleethorpes! I shall persevere with the timetable doing adjustments as a v.1 and if really inspired keep the original as a further version when the update is available. No, I'm not going to ask the obvious, like the timetable - it will be ready when it's ready. Cheers Log in to reply |

i thought the grimsby- cleethorpes line was singled in 1985 when all the boxes on that section closed and pasture street recieved pt.1 of its NX panel, not 1971

I think you'll find (And please correct me if I am - after all the missus does frequently), that the refernce to 1971 is the date that the TT is being created for, not the date that the line was singled.

Horton SB - that's not on my list for Lincolnshire. I have Howsham SB up to 1989, when it, Claxby and Moortown closed and the block section was extended between Wrawby Jn and Holton le Moor. If it's Howsham you're thinking of Quizman, then for note Chris - it's known about (we've had numberous discussions)! Have another routing problem which is driving me mad. Whats the correct routing for down trips i.e. from Appleby into Frodingham Depot? Have tried direct, indirect and by reversing at various signals to no avail. Is this one of the routing bugs or is it me? Probably the latter but you never know

Route train on Down Main to Sig S45 on Up GDS LP, then into Frodingham Depot. Note, Scunthorpe FD is GOODS YARD. To get to this yard, route from Sig S45 or Sig S341(DM) to ► in goods yard. Barry Sorry old fruit but that does not work for Frodingham Depot. Yes its OK for FD. As I said above it seems that any routing to Frodingham by direct or indirect means just refuses to validate. Steve Edit - there are no problems routing from s45 to Frodingham e.g. light engine shunt from Up Goods Loop its just trains approaching from Appleby direction. The only way to accomplish this move as far as I can make out is to send loco to Scunthorpe P2 and reverse back to s45 and thence to Frodingham. Bit of a long winded way of doing things but that is the only one that validates, unless of course someone knows different........ Last edited: 07/04/2012 at 14:44 by Quizman Log in to reply |

This was one of the known issues (or series of issues) with pathing and routing around the Scunthorpe area, and has been fixed for the future release. Various people have given the suggested work arounds, which are a little laborious, but are what we suggest for the current release version of the sim.

Indeed "Horton" does not exist in the local area. However, in that list of signalboxes North Kelsey has been missed out. During my time working on the footplate in North Lincolnshire/South Humberside the Lincoln route signalboxes were Howsham, North Kelsey, Moortown, Holton-le-Moor, Claxby, Market Rasen, Wickenby, Snelland, Stainton (gate-box only - not a block post), Langworth, Reepham, Monks Abbey and Lincoln Pelham St. Market Rasen was the first signalbox to go - even before the resignalling took place.
