North No1 and No2 would be interesting to work, even through to the mid 90s with plenty of loco hauled working including through services to euston!

Oh, hello there; fellow Lancastrian! I'm in north Preston with (just about) line-of-sight on the WCML. (It's probably better if I don't get into my rant about Preston station effectively being "Preston South" station) I imagine a local sim could have some interesting possiblities. I know the setup now is a shadow of its former glories, and source data could be somwhat hard to come by; but some sort of Wakes Week timetable might be a little different from anything seen yet. Lots and lots of long steam-hauled passenger specials coming in from whatever Lancashire mill town was on mass holiday that week, all being stabled in the area midweek, then taking people home again before bringing in the next townload of holidaymakers from the next town on the rota. It might be nice to see all sixteen platforms of the historical BPN in full swing with steam traction (although a coding horror, I suspect).
