Open F3 and untick the box marked 'Use Public Documents folder'.

I need a bit of help, i've found the Wembley Sub timetables however, tried to move the timetable by selecting compatibility files, then extracting the files, to C:\Program Files\SimSig\WembleySub, but the timetable hasn't been loaded into C:\Program Files\SimSig\WembleySub.

Go into the F3 menu, choose the Control tab and un-tick "Use Public Documents Folder" and the timetable should appear. You might have to restart the sim, though.

Have you re-started the sim after unchecking the Public Documents box. Until you re-start the sim, it is still looking in the Public Documents folder. Once you re-start after the un-check, the TT selection window should be looking at the C:\Program Files\SimSig\WembleySub folder which is where you have already identified the splashes and TT.

Is the timetable in the subfolder, or in the folder containing the sim files?

EDIT: Postal beat me to it.

I've restarted the Sim each time i've extracted the files to C:\Program Files\SimSig\WembleySub but each time i've done it timetable does not appear.

Uninstall and reinstall the sim. The timetable is already included in the download, so all you will need to do once you have installed the sim is to ensure the "use public documents folder" is un-ticked, close and restart the sim.

If it's still not working after that, then I'm at a loss...

Have you tried ticking it and seeing what happens?

Let's start by seeing if the TT files have actually been stored on your computer. Can you go to Search (which is normally an option from the Windows Start button) and search your C: drive for "Summer2006.WTT" There may be TTs for other sims with the same title but we are searching for that file in a WembleySub sub-folder.

If you can report back what results the Search gives, we'll then be able to take things forward.

Done a search and it cannot locate Summer2006.WTT ....

I've gone into the Wembley Sub folder and there is a Summer2006.WTT in there, but when I click on it I get the following message:

Windows cannot open this file:

File: Summer2006.WTT

To open this file, windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it etc .....

Good progress. Now we know the TT is on your hard disk.

You say it is in a Wembley Sub folder. The wembleysub.exe file is looking for the TT in a WembleySub folder (no space).

Can you check two things now:

1) Is the folder WembleySub or Wembley Sub?
2) Where is that WembleySub or Wembley Sub folder on your hard disk?

Once we know that we will be well on the way to sorting things.

If you get back promptly you may have a wait for the next answer as I shall be missing from the keyboard from now until sometime between 23:00 and midnight (although there should be other people on line who will be able to help).

It's in WembleySub

When it is opened the following is in it:

WembleySub folder contains TT_Analysis

Splash01
Splash02
Splash03
Splash04
Splash05
Splash06

Summer2006
Summer2006.WTR
Summer2006.WTT

This is stored in the C Drive under program files, SimSig, WembleySub

unfortunately i'm at a loss then, postal may be able to help when he comes back.

in general the sim will search for the timetable in a folder relating to the sims name (eg Wembleysub), located within the same folder as the .exe for the sim. you have this in place and use public docs unticked.

sorry

Joe

Try starting the sim without a TT, save the 'game' and see if you can find the save (****.SSG). The WTT ought to be in the same folder (or put copy of the WTT into that folder and see if that works).

I started a sim without a TT and then saved it.

I then searched for the SSG and when I clicked on it, it went to the WembleySub folder after I clicked browse, but couldn't find the SSG anywhere in the folder.

The next thing we need to do then is find out whether your set-up is reading what is in the WembleySub folder.

When you load the sim, you get a pop-up giving the start-up options (New Game, Load Game, Multiplay, Exit). When you see that pop-up, is the picture something relevant to the Wembley Sub sim (various shots of trains or trackwork which clearly belong to the Wembley Sub area or a close up of a signalling panel) or a shot of Foxhall Jn, Didcot which is the default if the sim can't find any splash shots of its own?
