Hi

Firstly - congratulations on Trent , of all of them I think it's the best, it manages to drive me round the bend trying to keep it moving with a mix of passenger and freight. Running the morning peak on your own is a special kind of insanity, you feel like whack-a-mole with the level crossings.

However there is, I think a little bug persistent. I did originally think it was with Toton Up sidings, but it actually isn't. Ratcliffe will take trains, and then sometimes just stop ( Yes I know it takes some time to MGR, I'm talking over 2 hours waiting for A or B to clear ) , persistently get "lines disconnected at the South End" when you call it in. Both A and B remain occupied, and no outbound empties are waiting to exit ( there was for a while, then it just stopped ) . Reloading the game won't help, or forcing the waiting trains in either. It got so bad the HLG was full all the way back to the Old Bank and I was considering all sorts of reversals on the U&DI to keep the queue orderly ; then I just started forcing the trains into Ratcliffe just to clear the through freights; Any ideas ?

Toton Up Sidings works properly but you do need to manage 177 and 178 and the light engines properly

A similar ( maybe ) problem also shows from time to time that trains will not exit at the Sileby end, I remember one time there were 10 trains waiting to fall out at Sileby.

If you don't call ahead to Ratty PS for which line to send to, each train will take about 30 mins to clear the reception line as the shunter has got the hump, similarly when you send a train in on the wrong line after a call.
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

The Ratcliffe stuck train bug is already known:

Plus more I can't find (and every time it gets mentioned someone always says "use the phone", only to be told "I did"!).

Judging by earlier posts, there seems to be a bug with Ratcliffe where trains are held indefinitely, but no solution has been posted.

These lines were removed years ago, however I don't think the panel at Trent PSB wasn't changed.

OK - the only workarounds I can think of is
- removing the waiting trains from the Sim , although that probably causes knock-on effects
- forcing the waiting trains in, with different knock-on effects

Is there any way of getting it reported as a bug. PS I'd be happy to fix the bug if I had the code, used to be a professional Pascal developer ( isn't that what it's written in ? ) It's not open source though, I think ?

It's already been reported by Kurt to himself.
What I'm not sure about is what Kurt is doing SimSig-wise these days.
