Just a quick question: can ECS moves be sent via the Erewash Valley lines between Mansfield and Nottingham instead of the Robin Hood line during times of congestion? Would drivers have route knowledge of both routes?

Whilst not knowing the precise answer to this, there are several Worksop/Mansfield/Nottingham ECS which are booked to run via the Erewash Valley so it is likely that drivers do have route knowledge and ECS may run this way to maintain route knowledge.

All the ECS moves currently booked to/from Mansfield and Worksop (three Down in a morning, one back in the evening) appear to be booked to run via the Erewash Valley, so there'll be at least one link of drivers at Nottingham who all sign the route. I think Norwich used to have some booked (daytime) work as far as Mansfield (not sure if they still do) - I'd guess they'd only sign the route via Hucknall.
