Hi all, Having seen the photos here... http://photos.signallingnotices.org.uk/photo_index.php?pc=461 ... showing the Leeds PSB area (now covered by York IECC?) I think that the Leeds area could be great fun if it was ever turned into a sim. Anyone else? There's no doubt, this would make for a cracking sim. However, I was under the impression this couldn't be done, as York is on the conflicts of interest list.

York PSB and Leeds PSB are therefore legitimately possible. in fact depending how far you went back, the lines to skipton, keighley and ilkey would still be worked mechanically "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Ben86 |

Much of the current layout is in fact the same as it has been since the late 60s/early 70s and that is what is simulated for Network Rail. It's only the station area that changed with a few additions such as Peckfield, Church Fenton etc and more recently Ardsley workstation took over the old Moorthorpe box. As you say the original PSB didn't have the Skipton lines until much further along and areas such as Stourton where brought in at around the time of recontrol. Also there was the viaduct line from Gelderd Road that most London expresses took and the northermost bay platforms where normally used for goods and parcels. Also the Leeds station area had no train describers visible on the panel. That would be fun. Last edited: 04/07/2012 at 11:32 by TomOF Log in to reply |
