Noob question I know being as how it's one of the first trains in the timetable, but I'm all at sea here.

Every path I've tried for train 2B661 from signal 417 has been incorrect. I at least know this is the correct starting point as I waited for the message to tell me the train was waiting at the signal. Any help gratefully appreciated..

It's probably not a wrong route, as there's only the one route from 417.

Are you sure it's not the driver just asking for confirmation to take the route onto a goods line?

(One of the anomolies with seed trains on older sims/TTs, really needs to be done as 5B661.)

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

No the driver reports an incorrect route set. I think it is the anomaly with seed trains as you suggest and the sim wont accept a passenger train being routed down a goods line. I edited the timetable and changed the train to run as 5B661 and it worked fine.

Many thanks for your help on this.

it will report incorrect route set, you need to choose "accept route onto goods line" in this case

Just to amplify, if you do what Joe (jc92) says, the train then runs through as 2B661 without any TT editing on your part. However, if you are someone who is worried about your percentage score, this method does hit your score with penalty points.

I tried jc92's suggestion and noticed that it hit the score, whereas amending the timetable didn't. As far as I am concerned, either option is acceptable and in my opinion within the spirit of the rules considering the mechanics of the sim when it comes to seeding.

Many thanks for all your input guys. I really appreciate the help as always.
