I thought I'd start a photo Gallery on the SimSig forum as a source of information for timetable writers who can look at the photos & if any of them cover a location covered by a sim it would give them an idea of what type of trains were running in that area. Plus the photos could also be used by developers as 'splash screens' for various sims.

This picture shows 37012 heading home past Everton Gatebox between Sandy & St. Neots on the Down Slow line in 1986 working 4S39 1935 SX Dagenham Dock - Millerhill S.S. car train.

Here's ome for Mr. Cooper. 56064 failed at Factory Junction with a seized traction motor on the leading axle of the fromt bogie whilst working 6M32 0335 MX MGR Northfleet Cement Works - Toton Down Sdgs Low Level - September 1987. It was the only time whilst on the footplate where we managed to catch them for a 'rest day'. In other words we over our time on our rest day that we ended up getting paid for it. Incidentally this was the 1st loco I drove on the footplate. The loco was detached from the train & after the P. Way staff greased the rails we skidded the loco on to Srewarts Lane T&RSMD for repairs. The empty wagons were taken to Cricklewood Recess by a Cl.33.

Interesting, did they prefer that they don't go to Plymouth or Newquay anymore, or was there some infrastructure change that stopped it?

Just curious

There was an incident during 1984/1985 involving a 'Peak' class loco, IIRC it was at Weston Super Mare, but the outcome was 'Peak' locomotives were banned from working west of Bristol Temple Meads. Someone else on here may well correct me if I am wrong, long time ago now.

I see they did run in 1987 apparently:

http://www.derbysulzers.com/45141weston87.jpg

Can't find what happened at Weston, but not much info for them in 1985, but a few shots in 1986 and 1987. One would assume that it was a temporary one whilst examining if they could continue west or not?

Not trying to damage your info or sound disrespectful Pascal, not the intention at all, just wondered what the reason may have been. Someone else might be able to tell what happened exactly.

Back on topic for this post, the above photo might double up as some help. Not my photo, but is a Class 45 on a Bristol Commuter set in 1987.

Remember also, one Class 45/1 managed to work a Waterloo - Exeter!

Anything that you find interesting, I'm sure I will!
Particularly things that would help me get to know the Immingham area as something more than dots on a screen, for that I would be very grateful.
