Hi all, I am trying to do a new Lancing TT for 01st August 2012. However I am stuck as to what type of trains are to be used for each route. For the TT I am editing I have taken out the previous trains but have kept the motive power. The motive power classes available are: - MPV - 2/158 - 3/377 - 4/377 - 8/377 I presume that 2/158 means a 2-car Class 158 so probably an FGW working but please could someone clarify what I am supposed to do when the data source I am using only says, for example, "EMU"? You could download the Brighton 2012 timetable and cross-reference from that. All the trains that pass through Lancing start, terminate or pass through the Brighton sim.

Hi Dave As John said feel free to download my Brighton April 2012 timetable and cross reference the train types as I don't think there were many stock changes between the Dec-May 12 and the May-Dec 12. I admit I haven't checked for a while as to the last update but the yahoo group UKModernEMU is well worth joining for diagram information and is what I used along with Open Train Times to help write my Brighton one. 2/158 is for the FGW services which depart brighton about 9am and 5pm (and arrive about 40min prior to that) MPV would be for the RHTT which I think would still be 3Sxx or 8Yxx You will also need to add 3/313 to your train types as these have replaced most if not all of the 3/377 services (which are now used for train lengthening in the london suburbs) The majority of Vic / London Bridge - Littlehampton would be 4/377 except in the peaks where they will also be 8/377 and 12/377 PM me if I can be of anymore help Gareth Log in to reply |

I use 1V96 (the 5pm FGW) regularly and it's usually 3/158. I think it even had a a 150 on the end once. They use the 313s for Portsmouth - Brighton services but I'm not sure if they're used otherwise in the west coastway Last edited: 21/10/2012 at 15:59 by guidomcc Log in to reply |

Hi all, Many thanks for your replies. I had not realised there was already a 2012 Brighton TT and I was hoping that there were a few Olympics extras that could be chucked in. If there were none - and I don't know either way: does anyone? - then I will have a rethink as to whether to finish it. One thing I will say for Olympics extras is that not all operators published full details of extra trains being provided. As an example, Virgin gave details of extras that were laid on to Birmingham, Northampton & Manchester but I looked up the likes of, for example, FGW and all they did was refer you to the London 2012 travel planning site.
