OK, I've been all over the Euston threads, and I can't find any mention of this, but I can't believe I'm the only person to have had this happen to them. I was playing the 1980/81 TT earlier (it's all finished now, so the following comes from memory - I have no screenshots). The problem involves two engines departing the UCS for Euston station in quick succession. The first engine entered the area, and I immediately set a route from the UCS to the relevant platform (each time it happened, it was a light loco move to join a platformed train, so it would be the position light that came off, and not the main aspect). The signal did not clear immediately. While the first engine wass waiting for the signal to come off, a second engine entered the area at the UCS, right behind it. The headcode of this second engine overwrote the headcode of the first one still waiting to depart, and at the same time I received a message telling me that the first engine had received a change of aspect at signal 53. Now I can't recall if position light actually came off before this happened, but I'm fairly certain it didn't. This happened a few times during the game, and each time the signal did not clear after the message telling me of the change of aspect. Having said that, I didn't wait too long to see if it would - I simply told the driver to PSAD signal 53 to get to the platform. Is this a bug? I can't be the first person to have noticed it can I? I can re-run the sim and wait for it to happen again if anyone wants me to take a closer look at what's with the signal. Log in to reply |

Ive had this too. I think its occuring when a secnd train enters the sim before the first has passed the exit signal. The second train is occupying the further track circuit, causing the measuring for calling on to think instead of just one loco to join train in platform theres a bigger one. This is causing the call on route to cancel in front of the first train. Possible solution for the devloper (Clive?) when trains call in to signal box before entering to give the signaller a choice of accepting train imediatlly or asking driver to call back in 5minutes Log in to reply |

This ACOA happens because signal 53 reverts to danger, which happens when a 2nd train enters behind the other train. Normally 53 only starts showing the white shunt aspect when the train is approaching the signal. The 2nd train of course isn't approaching the signal when a 1st train is still standing there.
