Think something's up at Valley... 1D11 is supposed to be stopped there! (2009 WTT)

Also, have the Valley aerodrome emergency signals been replicated in anyway? No mention of them on the sim/in the manuals.

Also, how are request stops managed in the timetable, if at all? when this train ran straight through it made me wonder if there was something in the code/WTT to tell it to pass but doesn't look like it...

Cracking sim by the way, thanks!

i reported this bug at the meet, valley platform was allocated to the wrong TC :P

the request stops (00R00 in WTTs) have been handled using the set down only option, however all branch trains appear to loose time in both directions

I noticed this too. This might be rectified by changing the acceleration settings in DMU trains to a high (from medium), and loosing the arrival time.

It's half sim, half time table bug. If you set each stopper at valley to near end they stop correctly. But I've already amended it for the next release.

I haven't replicated the aerodrome signals. And don't plan to.

Request stops are as joe said handled by giving the departure time as set down only. It works on along the main line. But is a killer on the branch.

Just a note to say that these signals will be shown on the panel in the next version, but will have no impact on the sim, and will not function in anyway.

I have a problem at Valley. I have read the documentation on wiki about the simulation and I am getting traffic to move between sections except beyond Valley. I just can't get the next section to show line clear even with the level crossing gates down. What am I doing wrong here ? I just need a jolt of help here.

Could you provide me with a screenshot of Valley panel + both block instruments?

one thing to consider (for up trains) is that 17 points must be normal for a train to be accepted from holyhead, trains to holyhead should have free acceptance and trains from gaerwen to valley have free acceptance

I reckon 'jc92' has already given the answer to Ray's problem. The points within the overlap for signal GN19 must be in the normal position before the offer can be accepted.

I encountered the same thing and it took me a good few minutes to figure it out while a train was coming to a stand at a red! If you have started the 2009 timetable (04:45 start version), you have likely signalled 1V51 out of Amlwch, which leaves the points in the reverse position. You need to set them back to the normal position manually so the offer can be accepted and the route set for 1R13 a bit later in the UP direction.

The level crossing at Gaerwen doesn't need to be cleared for the route to be set. It is a long section between there and the Valley area so it only needs to be lowered when you receive the 'Train Approaching' warning.

Regards,

James

Many thanks for your help in this matter. I can see that my problem was based on the state of the points - something which one might not consider in the power signal simulations.

There are a few occasions where points need to be manually set back to normal before a train can be accepted. Each instance is shown in the manual http://www.SimSig.co.uk/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=257&func=fileinfo&id=500 under the Workstation Specifics section.
