Hello all! A few minutes ago, a farmer phoned me from Greys telephone crossing asking to cross with a flock of sheep. At that time, 4W02 was on the track circuit between DB73 and T22R. West Brecks automatic crossing was closed but Leverton was open, so I told the farmer to cross after the next train and activated the two emergency replacement switches. A while later, after 4W20 was well past T22, the farmer phoned back and said he was still waiting, having apparently ignored 4W02 driving past in front of him. I thus told him it was safe to cross, since the screen now looked like the attachment—nobody anywhere near. He instantly phoned me back and said "Oi! I thought you said it was safe!". What the heck? The only train anywhere near is 4W02, and it’s way past the crossing! The attachment appears to have been scaled; 4W20 is the train sitting across Cherry Halt. Post has attachments.
