Hi everyone,

While travelling yesterday on the jubilee line of the London Underground, it struck me that it would be a great area to simulate. I thought this because:
-large train through put per hour
-trains terminate at different locations i.e. Stratford, Stanmore, Wembley Park, Willisden Green
-the route serves to depots - Stratford Market and Neaden
-the actual signalling for this line is done on a system similar to IECC

Please let me know what you think, comments welcome and respected.

The Jubilee line on its own would be quite repetitive even allowing for all the different destinations as it is essentially an end to end line, at least as far as the train service is concerned. Much more interesting would be sections of the sub-surface network which has lots of junctions and interworking between services on different lines.
I have in the past dabbled with writing a couple of computer simulations of some LUL locations where I have worked and was quite pleased with the result: Harrow On The Hill
I've considered doing one of Baker St SCC where I currently work but it covers a big area and when I started doing the first simulations I never bothered to consider that I might want to do other locations and so there is no separation between basic system simulation and site spcific data making adapating the software to other locations difficult.
Having said that Baker St SCC would be a good one to do as it covers the Aldgate triangle, the north side of the Circle Line, Baker St junction and all the way out to Wembley Park. If it is done as Baker St SCC was a couple of years ago, then you would also get the Jubilee Line from Stanmore to Charing Cross/Westminster
