" said:or a vintage Lincoln, which would chain in with south humberside and Peterborough if extended south and nottinghamdefine vintage. a lot has changed at lincoln. in 84 st marks closed, simplifying pelham st jcn, and a new route was built for the midland into boultham Jcn. greetwell Jcn and the avoiding lines closed, as did the depot at lincoln, the station lost platforms 1,2 and 7 and west holmes yard(s) were closed. which era would you suggest? i was thinking of the good old days of the early 80s. Holmes was just in use and you had all the boxes open with st marks and depot. plus you still had the avoider and sat extras to skeg and great yarmouth. just to mention a few or if need be late 90s with all trains and routes using central. and those dreaded level crossings. you might have to have to invent a new phone call for might street level crossing though???
