Submitted to the download area, TT Notes: A Sunday timetable for the Saltley area, which is less much busy than the weekday timetable. Passsenger times are taken from Open Train Times, freight times from Network Rail's WTT published online. Please leave comments below, as if this TT is popular I might write similar timetables for other large simulations. As ever, feel free to post any bugs or questions below and I'll do my best to resolve them. Cross Country Cross Country services are largely unchanged on a Sunday, however it will be after midday before they reach normal intensity. London Midland On the Cross City line (South Top panel), services are reduced to a half-hourly Redditch service, with no trains terminating at Longbridge. Hereford services are halved to two-hourly for most of the day. Note that these trains, dispite running as class 1, follow the stoppers into New Street. On the South Bottom panel, there is an hourly service to Stratford and Dorridge from Galton Bridge, and no trains terminate at Shirley. Chiltern Chiltern operate a half hourly service to London, and a two-hourly service to Stratford. Because this simulation does not contain the remodelled Moor Street, services that terminate there continue to Snow Hill turnback siding, where they reverse and return to Moor Street to form the return working after the Dorridge service has passed. For the same reason, trains which stable overnight at Moor Street leave and enter via Caledonia Yard, except the ECS to Stratford, which enters at Tyseley South. West Coast Railways WCR operate two return steam hauled services between Snow Hill and Stratford, with the loco running round at each end. A fictional shunt has had to be made at Stratford, as the layout has been remodelled since the data for this simulation was taken. Freight Being a Sunday, there is very little freight traffic. Almost all of what does run runs in the evening, with the exception of the one freight train which is booked through New Street, which passes through at about half ten. Note that this train should be held until it's correct departure time, and that it will re-enter at Five Ways as soon as it leaves the simulation at New Street. Enjoy! Steamer - I note that all the Chiltern Units ECS to Moor Street and Snow Hill come from Caledonia Yard. From experience of having signed Tyseley whilst still a driver I would've said that anything ECS for the Snow Hill area would just come out of the North End departure line to be honest. Caledonia Yard is not AFAIK used to stable any units. I know the layout has changed since then though

I know the layout has changed since then thoughFrom what I could deduce from Open Train Times, Chiltern units are all stabled in sidings/bays at Moor Street, which are not simulated. I decided to use Caledonia Yard as it was the nearest entry point, and to add some interest to the TT. Fair enough. I remember most of the Chiltern sets stabling in the sidings at Tyseley nearest the Bordesley Lines (Saint Andrews Junction) side when we used to go there with a turbo or 158. That was 2001

Thanks very much for this new timetable. I used to run the other Saltley timetables from midnight single-handed but usually got overwhelmed around sim 'breakfast time' when the passenger services started in earnest. I'm about half-way through this Sunday timetable for the first time and it seems to be just nicely do-able. I, for one, would one day love similar timetables for some of the other big sims (as per your suggestion!).

This timetable has now been updated to work with the Loader version of the simulation. The new file can be downloaded here.
