Looks like there's going to be a few signalling alterations around the Croydon / Norwood area in the not too distant future as part of CP5. http://www.networkrail.co.uk/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=30064778689 Might be an idea to hold off on a refresh for the time being. Are you on nights next week Dabbadaz? Gonna see if we can give you a little more of your railway back Log in to reply |

" said:" said:Pre December both went platform 2 and fast to Stoats Nest. 2B29 didn't previously stop. With the 0755 up at platform 3 I'm not surprised 2C49 can be an issue as it would be all too easy to set through on the up and then remember I suspect. On the subject of platforming decisions made at Three Bridges box, I frequently catch either the 0745 or 0754 south from Purley, both of which are semi regular platform changes for no obvious reason. This should get extra penalties if the sim ever gets released as the only entrances to platform 2 are at the far ends of the platform and the stopping point is in the middle of the platform. Meaning about a hundred and fifty people have to run across and sprint round for each train!Looking at our simplifiers for Panel 2 both 2B29 to Tonbridge and 2C49 to Horsham appear to be problem trains at Purley. Looking at the work load for that time of day it appears to be quite heavy with eyes going everywhere. I think if my memory serves me right, in the old timetable the Tonbridge service would of gone Dn Fast to Dn Redhill at Stoats Nest Jcn and the Horsham used to come down the slow line. But I could be wrong as you soon forget some aspects of the old timetables while others stick in your mind. What bothers me is that platform 2 is "closed" and fir emergency and diversion use according to the map on national rail but us actually timetabled for several trains a day despite the very poor access apparently dictated by the fire authorities.
