Hello there, I've been playing SimSig on and off for a couple of months now and I'm tempted to start messing around with multiplayer; I quite like the idea of having some sort of 'responsibility' in the game, where my mess ups will mess up other people's schedules (though hopefully not), giving me an extra incentive to 'not mess up'. Are there any particular games coming up/generally organised which would be ideal for a relatively inexperienced player?

I've of course played through Royston and following that, on to the North London Line, which is the one that really got me into the game as I didn't entirely fail at it, despite the steep learning curve going from Royston to... pretty much anything else.

I have since moved on to trying Cambridge and Liverpool St, and I'm quickly realising that I shouldn't have tried Cambridge and I'm in the process of making a bit of pig's ear of Liverpool Street.

Hope to get involved!

Hello Sparkee and welcome. I too am new to SimSig and multiplay and I say: join up say hello explain where your experience is at and, if the sim isn't already full you'll be invited to take a panel. You can always say no thanks and watch the fun. If the sim is full then the host will queue you and your turn for chaos will surely come. Me? I'm 'learning' Kings Cross starting with Hitchin or sit out and watch headcodes and messages to pick up tips from some really helpful experienced players.

You are welcome to join one of my regular multiplayer sessions. You will find that the community can be very helpful, and most sims have a "simple" panel that you can use until you get the hang of things a bit more. It all comes with time :)

Hope to see you sigging soon :)

As Rick says, just join a session and see what happens - keep you eye on the Session Detailssection of the forum and join one that appeals to you. If you tell the host that you're new when you join the session they can find an easier panel for you to start with before you have a go at something more complex. If you want to start easy that is...
