Coded manual operation ignored? 16/11/2013 at 22:57 #51624

After an initial foray into this simulation by playing the Saturday Engineering timetable to allow me to get to grips with the whole simulation, I've finally decided to give a full timetable a go - selecting the Sunday timetable to start me off.

Within 20 minutes I suddenly notice the F7 Incident Report button flashing (but surprisingly no actual message event warning me of this(?); much like with a Points, Signal, or Track Circuit Failure?!!), and the message I get is "06:57:07 Coded Manual operation between Victoria and Green Park Northbound". Brief panic ensues as I try to recall what this means, and eventually resort to the manual to check. 22mph running, great.

The first train due this way is V201-1 from Brixton. As this train departs Victoria, I decide to watch it via F2 Train List, yet notice it seemingly happily going along at 36-37mph?!!

Yes I saw a previous report but have not had time to investigate fully.

Possibly Possible Bug - Coded Manual Operation not Saving? Was thinking of posting this in that thread, but originally decided against as probably felt were different matters.

Found a sort-of work-around to kind-of keep this particular type of failure somewhat realistic.

Upon receiving notification of this via F7 - Incident Report, open up F11 - Incident Control Panel and use the TSRs (Temporary Speed Restrictions) tab to apply TSRs for all of the associated TCs.

After you are informed Coded Manual Operation is now lifted, simply open up F11 - Incident Control Panel again and delete the TSRs.

For those wondering, my first 'run in' with CMO lasted for 1hr and 46mins, however didn't seem to cause too much of a delay (probably 1 minute at most).
