Kwik Kwestion: On this timetable, why is it that during the overnight hours, no trains operate over the main line, everything seems to be using Hertford Loop?

Thanks!

This isn't a multiplayer game, it's discussion about a time table.

"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

I just jumped in without reading any "General Orders or Bulletins" in effect - failed tower operator 101 I guess!

Indeed, apologies DWelham.

I have, however, found a bug:

* 2R01's last location is Letchworth CS, but it continues to Royston

2R01-1 is a staff train that is booked into Letchworth CS to drop off 5 drivers, it should re-appear from the north end as 2R01-2 and continue to Royston?

The Timetable description when viewed in the Loader shows the following:

Quote:
This timetable starts at 00:00 on Friday 1st November 2013 and runs through to midnight of Monday 4th November giving 96 hours of signalling including a full weekend and 2 weekdays! Unit/loco numbers are fictional although all represent the correct class of traction for each service and all follow a correct 'unit diagram'. Kings Cross Goods is used to simulate platform 0 and only trains BOOKED for there should be sent otherwise the return working will not appear. Some clashes have been left in, especially on Sundays.
This implies the user should not use Platform 0, even though it is shown in the "Modern Era" layout.

Hmm, thanks for this. That is an old description that was written before the sim was updated - hence why Kings Cross Goods is 'to be used etc.' The description and notes were updated before the TT was submitted and should read as follows:

"This Timetable begins at 00:00 on Friday 1st November 2013 and runs for over 4 days, finishing around 02:40 on Tuesday 5th November giving almost 99 hours of signalling including two weekdays and a full weekend with over 3100 trains! A few engineering possessions are featured but not all include enginnering trains. Details of the times and locations of these can be found below. Rules apply to engineering trains so trains late onto a possession may cause over-running engineering works.

Notes:
-Hitchin Flyover is open to traffic at the time of this timetable but not all drivers sign the route. Only the weekday route-learning runs are booked over (2F23,2F27+2F31) with other trains using it on an ad-hoc basis.
-Alexandra Palace platform 1 is open to passenger traffic although no WTT services are booked to use it.
-Finsbury Park platform 1/2 is still under construction at the time of this timetable therefore no passenger trains should be permitted to use it.
-Pay special attention to 5Exx services going to Hornsey EMUD that are booked to reverse on 'Hornsey DS2' as these are 12-cars that will not fit into either of Hornsey Reversing Sidings.
-Ferme Park Carriage Wash line is 'permissive' - you may signal more than one train into this section at a time.

Friday.
A standard weekday service with a few late-night extras compared to the rest of the week.
Engineering work is taking place between Alexandra Palace and Welwyn Garden City from 00:00 until 05:00 with all services diverted via Hertford North.
Engineering work is taking place between Finsbury Park and Belle Isle on the Up Fast line from 23:45.

Saturday.
Engineering work is taking place between Finsbury Park and Belle Isle on the Up Fast line until 05:30.
FCC inner-suburban trains run to/from Kings Cross on Saturdays. 2K98 FEP trip (Fire Evacuation Procedure) will run to Moorgate for staff training purposes.
There are several extras running in the afternoon/evening due to Arsenal playing
at home and a fireworks event at Alexandra Palace aswell as a football special to Newcastle conveying Chelsea supporters.

Sunday.
The fast lines are closed between Potters Bar and Welwyn Garden City from 00:00 until 09:00 on the down fast and 10:00 on the up fast with all trains to travel over the slow lines.
Engineering work is taking place between Hitchin and Peterborough between 01:30 and 07:30.
Engineering work is taking place between Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace from 01:30 to 20:00 on the Down Slow 1 and between Finsbury Park and Ferme Park on the Down Slow 2. No Northbound services will call at Harringay or Hornsey between these times. Services to Welwyn Garden City reduce to hourly after 09:00 due to reduced capacity on the one available northbound line.
As expected services begin running later in the day. FCC inner-suburban trains run to/from Kings Cross on Sundays.

Monday.
A standard weekday service in operation. Inner-suburban services resume running to Moorgate. FCC are running class 313 driver training trains over the Hertford Loop off-peak."

Does anybody have the above decription please?

Sunday.

Engineering work north of Finsbury Park means that no northbound services will call at Harringey or Hornsey. The Down Slow 2 is closed between Finsbury Park and Ferme Park. The fast lines are also closed between Potters Bar and Welwyn Garden City untill 09:30.
I assume this is what every user will have.

How strange. Apologies all, I have absolutly no idea why the description is not as it should be. During the construction of the TT, these notes were added as I went and I must admit after saving and re-loading the description would sometimes have reverted to the previous save, and i'd have to write the additional information again - perhaps this is related?

By my estimation 5K98-3 enters four hours early.

Currently enters Hornsey 428 at 39+58, but not booked to pass Finsbury until 44+03.
