Just a quickie, the 'Cancel' button below the area where you type in your post (and below the 'Options'doesn't seem to work? Could sit there clicking on it again and again and again and again and again but nothing happens! Just thought I would mention/point this out in-case you want to fix it at all. Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for. Log in to reply |

If you hit the "Reply" button rather than typing into the "quick post" box then you get a Cancel button. Pressing it takes you back to the previous page - works perfectly for me. What browser are you using, UKTM?

It works for me too. Looking at the html code of the page, I can see that this button has associated this code
so all the job is done by the client side (with javascript). If it does not work with your browser, I can only think at an incompatibility in the javascript (or that you have javascript disabled) Log in to reply |

Just remembered another possibility: if you reply in a new window/tab then there is nothing to go back to, and so it does nothing.

Hmmm odd it seems to work now. Ignore me. *hangs head in shame* On the more serious side, I will have a muck around (without needing to post anything that'll need deleting etc) to see if I can recreate the non-working 'Cancel' button but it looks as if I may have perhaps been using a new tab - I'm using IE7 by the way. If I don't post up again then presume I've somehow made a shameful mistake. Who knows if I'll ever live this one down. BINGO! It is whilst editing any of my posts that the 'Cancel' button becomes unresponsive. I am not using any tabs. Also, whilst editing a post it seems to break the Shout Box as in I cannot post anything to it although it will still update with the latest 'Shout'.
