In 2008, as infrastructure work for the East London line extension was ongoing, a Network Rail briefing document was circulated which stated that: " said: The East London Line project will involve altering Panel 3 to show the new infrastructure, this will be done during April 2009. Due to the extra workload then imposed on the signaller on panel 3, Eastfields crossing controls will be moved and come under the control by the signaller on panel 4. I'm guessing this arrangement was ultimately revoked? I would have thought that these modifications would have provided a more even workload between the two panels. Log in to reply |

John, Mitcham Eastfields level crossing was moved from Panel 3 to Panel 4 as part of the East London Line extension works to Crystal Palace. Geoff has not currently implemented in VC SimSig, but I have asked for it to be. For the time being, if users are in a 2010 era multiplayer session, then the Panel 4 signaller should be operating Mitcham Eastfields LC. After speaking with Geoff, transferring which Workstation an item is on requires an update to the core code. So perhaps some day it can be altered.
