Might be a bit late in the day but......if the North Wales line sim is going to be updated...would it be worth while having the option to simulate semaphore signals, instead of colour light signals, for a 1970 to 1990 version, for use with the block instuments?

It's a relatively large area, and unlike other simulations that represent one larger signalbox (Victoria, KingsX etc) it's made up of a large number of small signalboxes which means finding a complete data set is rather difficult. The signals which are semaphore in real life are represented as having just two aspects in the sim. Thank for the info headshot119. As I am not a sim designer, [ I did try on pc rail and got as far as being able to draw up Manchester North], I forget just how much work goes in to the design and planning for these sims. I do have a book on the North wales coast line that has several signal box diagrams of where the signals were, but , things changed over time, [ Book is the Chester to Holyhead Railway]. Ps looking forward to the updated sim, but not before I have completed my 2014 timetable!. Log in to reply |
