While they're not strictly necessary for a simulation of this size, I was crazy enough to try chaining Aston with New Street as single player and was therefore quite grateful to discover that Aston has both ACI and a simplified ARS. However I've hit a few snags:
Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick. Log in to reply |

Quote:ACI doesn't seem to be working at allHmm - ACI seems to be working for me - although I seem to have turned it on inadvertently! Find it less than useful though, as it leaves original TD on the berth as well as next working - may as well just interpose manually on a Sim as simple as this? Log in to reply |

After some further investigating, it seems like ACI fails for trains which have entered from New Street while the chaining link was active. If I disconnect New Street, all trains which enter afterwards, i.e. those which are generated by Aston simulation itself, experience no ACI problems. I've attached a save game - any train which enters after loading the simulation should have working ACI. It also works for 2N08-1 because I had to modify its timetable in order to terminate it early. I missed that too - you'll get an ARS option when you set TORR On when starting the sim. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: belly buster |

Love the Aston sim, but just to confirm that the ARS does not set a route from LTV nor is there any sort of TRTS at LTV (There is at Four Oaks). Not sure if there would be a TRTS in real life at LTV, but I keep forgetting about the trains until they're on the phone moaning!! Other than that, great work! Log in to reply |
