It's puzzling me too, because I haven't experienced it either, at least not with Sheffield v2.995. I did, however, have Class 1 trains entering half an hour or more earlier in previous versions of Sheffield.

Thanks Forset Pines. We had some great trips on that train. You never knew which way it was going to run being as it was always a sunday and there were always a lot of engineering works about. Is the original North Midland Line part of the South Yorks Joint or am I thinking of something else ?

No, the South Yorks Joint is the line that runs south from Kirk Sandall on the Doncaster-Barnetby line, across the ECML near Decoy Yard, and south via Maltby towards Worksop. Its closest link with the Sheffield sim is that the Silverwood branch, which leaves the South Yorkshire Railway/MSLR/GCR at Thrybergh Jn, originally joined the South Yorks Joint at Dinnington.
