Problem allowing two trains into platforms at Sheffield 20/03/2014 at 12:26 #57444 | |

I had strange problems when I allowed two trains into one platform at Sheffield. Once, I allowed an ECS running from Nunnery Lane Jn to Dore Jct behind a class 1 running the same route in its platform, but what seemed to happen was that the ECS overrun the passenger train, took its route and turned out first at Dore Jct. A similar problem arises with joining moves - the attached save shows two trains (5Y14 and 2P52) in plat. 1B (and no other train there) which, however, still show "waiting for the other train to join" and I can't get them join no matter what. Any ideas? Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

I can imagine that platform sharing could cause train descriptions on the screen/panel to get mixed up but the actual trains were in order - you'd have to look in F2 to see. Log in to reply |

It was the train. You can see it in attached saves: In save "before", 1B63 sits at sheffield P5 while 5M201 is approaching him from the rear to share his platform and continue behind him. In the second save, several minutes later, after 1B63 called TRTS, I set the route out. The descriptions move all right, indicating 1B63 departing for Dore. However, F2 shows it's actually 5M201 moving and 1B63 still waiting at red at platform 5. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |
