Playing the "Finsbury Park" scenario it is impossible to set any routes to either signal 384 or 394 (the two signals surrounding Finsbury Park P1) This renders the scenario unplayable. The error I'm getting is "Track circuits(s) isolated"

Hello, I have just had a look and this is indeed the case, very strange. There is a way to get the ability to route back on the Up slow. In the possession on the Up Fast signals 412 & 392 have a route set, cancel the route from both of these signals, and hey presto! you can route on the Up Slow into platform 1 at Finsbury Park. Further to the problem you had, I got the message of "Point(s) locked normal by other route" when attempting to route from 396 (Up Goods) > 384 (platform 1). Again this occured before I cancelled the route on the Up Fast within the possession. Hope this helps. When in doubt - Contingency plan 2A. Someone didn't buy the milk - 2A. Someone sneezed at Swansea - 2A. A driver complains the cab is too cold - 2A. Unable to operate a HEx service 4 vice 8 - 2A. Points failure at Ipswich - 2A. Just had a look myself and I can see what you mean. However, the one difficulty I have is how did you come to have the route set from 412 to 392 as it's not set by default when I try it. Further testing and it looks like it's something to do with the overlap of S392. You can also get round it by using the overide reminder. But as I say why is the 'problem' route set in the first place? Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Many thanks for the reply Peter. I just investigated what you have said and found something rather unusual. If you open up the Sim, with the Finsbury Park scenario, but with no t/t the lines show as closed but with no route between any signals. However, if you start the sim, with the FP scenario and with a t/t loaded the routes are live and the signals show proceed aspects. Hope this helps. When in doubt - Contingency plan 2A. This was raised as Mantis 3989. Was this on the old EXE sim or with the loader? Does it still happen with the loader or can the Mantis bug be closed? Log in to reply |
