Hi

Been away from SimSig quite some time and have upgraded my PC to Windows 7.

I'm having difficulty in recalling methodology used to add TT's to both Exeter and Gloucester Sims. As I recall both WTT and WTR files are unzipped then dropped into the relevant Sim. This doesn't seem to work for me anymore and I remain with the default Gloucester SIM TT of 1985. A similar scenario applies to Exeter as well.

If someone could jog my memory cells and point me in the right direction, it would be really appreciated as I really enjoy these Sims.

Regards

Fireman Pat

Exeter has been updated quite recently, and now uses the SimSig Loader. You'll need to download Exeter and the System Files again if you want to use the latest version. When you start the Loader for the first time, remember to click the check for updates button. If you download everything to the default location, the Exeter TT files go in 'C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\SimSig\Timetables\Exeter'.

Gloucester is still a .exe simulation, so if it's in the default location, timetable files go in the following folder: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\SimSig\Gloucester'.

Many thanks for the info Steamer....I already have Exeter Sim on the Loader (together with Stafford). Do I need to remove Exeter in its entirety and start again?

No, just copy the timetable to the location above (assuming you installed Exeter to the default location).

No, you just need to drop the TTs in the right place.

Works for me- it's surrounded by quote marks, have you included those when pasting?

Did you include the quote marks when copying and pasting? It won't work if those are included.

Have you had a look at the Wiki about where TTs should go for Loader sims? Unless you have installed things to a bespoke location you should have a structure where you have the Loader (loader.exe) in a SimSig folder (which is probably in Public or Common Documents depending on your flavour of Windows). There will be 2 sub-folders (Simulations and TImetables). Each of these sub-folders should then have further subfolders for eash sim you have installed. You could use the Search option to find loader.exe if you can't find it immediately.

If you have Exeter and Stafford as loader sims, then you should see exeter.sim and stafford.sim in the Simulations sub-folder. In the relevant sub-folders under Simulations you should then see the splash screens and any saved games. In the Timetables sub-folder there should be further sub-folders for Exeter and Stafford. Drop the TTs into the relevant sub-folder and you should be away.

.

No. SimSigLoader.exe will be in Program Files/Program Files (x86).

Hi Guys

Getting a little confused regarding destination of Exeter TT's

Both Exeter and Stafford are in the Loader but with only base TT's.

I have downloaded and unzipped one of the latest TT and now want to add it to the TT files.

This is where I'm getting stuck and not sure what the next step is. I have looked at the Wiki but no further forrard.

I'll take another look!

Sorry. Forgot that as I've got it in a bespoke location.

Taking a step back, where are the base TTs on your system? That is where any other TTs have to go. If you have used the default settings when you installed the loader, Steamer pointed to the location. If you are not sure where that is, you could try using the search option to find *.wtt; this should take you to the right area.

If you load up the loader and Exeter Sim, the timetable location is listed in the "Description of Timetable" box when you click on them.
