I noticed some sims with Olympic timetables but what about Commonwealth games and Tour De France special timetables? Log in to reply |

Were extra trains put on for the TDF? As is usually the answer with TTs, if you have the information, you're welcome to create them Log in to reply |

" said:Were extra trains put on for the TDF?Yes, there were a couple of loco-hauled sets running round Yorkshire and other operators may have put some extras on. " said: I noticed some sims with Olympic timetables but what about Commonwealth gamesI think someone's working on Commonwealth Games (or was it Ryder Cup?). I don't think it's possible to do a TDF timetable, as SimSig doesn't cover the areas where the specials ran. " said:Were extra trains put on for the TDF?If I remember correctly on Sat 5 July there were extra Northern services, primarily on the Harrogate line. On Sun 6 July I think there were maybe a handful of extra TPE trains, including earlier than usual Sunday services from Middlesbrough and Scarborough to York. The only extras that would have affected current SimSig simulations were East Coast services from King's Cross to Leeds/Harrogate, but unfortunately I can't remember the detail of these. Having just typed all that, I've found this link with a list of the extra services, but with no timing point details. Log in to reply |

And for those interested, it looks like details of the loco-hauled services are listed here. So it might be possible to create some Lime Street or King's Cross extras.

according to Modern Railways magazine there were 2 AM and 2 PM services in Sheffield. Kings Cross to Cambridge services were lengthened. Log in to reply |
