"Real" timetable 18/12/2014 at 15:24 #66792

Hi

I am trying to create a timetable for a specific day where all the train entry times are the actual real-life entry times, but so far my ideas for doing this have not worked.

Idea 1. Input the WTT and set a delay corresponding to a train's actual entry time in the timetable editor - but I discovered this "delay" doesn't save with the timetable and in fact changes every time you open it.

Idea 2. Input the WTT in the location list and set the train's entry time to it's actual one - but then I get an "invalid timetable error" that says the arrival time at the next location is earlier than the previous location time (happens when the train is late)

It is possible to create a timetable like I want, and does anyone have ideas how to (or if I'm doing something wrong)?

Any help appreciated, thanks!

Method 2 will work- the message generated is a warning, which means that the train will enter and run, but the analyser has noticed something that could cause a problem. The train will be highlighted in blue in the timetable list. Trains which generate a timetable error (caused by an invalid location sequence, for example) will be highlighted in red and will not enter.

My trains were coloured red and causing a timetable error, but after some experimenting I think this was because I had listed the entry location as the first location in the location list, instead of the train's next location.

Not sure how I like ending up with hundreds of warnings but I'll carry on like this and see how I go!

Thanks!
