The MustDepartAfterArrival rule only allows one location in its condition, ie. the train that is held can only be released by a train arriving at the same location he's in. I suggest there should be a possibility to specify a different location, that means train X is to depart from P after train Y has arrived at Q. I know it would be hard to implement with the old WTT format, but adding a tag in the new XML format should be fairly easy. The use case for such "action at a distance" is a loco waiting at King's Cross Loco Sidings for its train to arrive at King's Cross, note that these locations are distinct. Or Peterborough Goods Line, etc., wherever part of a station is referred to as a different TIPLOC. Log in to reply |

Isn't the current workaround for this to have the triggering train change id and use the "Depart X minutes after Y enters" rule?

It's on the developer board as #18 and says funnily enough Rules in the form: T1 must leave X after T2 [does something] at Y. e.g. Shunter must leave Gasworks after train arrives Kings Cross.
