Hello,

I have freight trains attatching and dettching at Rugeley Town. Detatching loco's is not an issue, however when it comes to atatching 6G68 as an example in the save, stands where he should at rugeley town. However 0G68 , the atatching loco, sits one signal away, saying ''awaiting joining train'' , why can't i get the loco to the train?

Help?
Thanks

That looks like a simulation bug- can't see anything wrong with the timetable.

Abandon the timetable, tell the train to shunt forward, authorise it past BS18, wait until it displays '6G68 in front' and then re-assign the timetable.

You'll also need to alter 6G68's TT. Set stopping position to Near End with 20m adjustment, then tell it to shunt forward (make sure it's facing Up) to move into that position. You have to do this so that both 6G68 and 0G68 are in the platform at Rugeley, if they aren't then they won't have 'arrived' at the location and won't couple.

Are you sure? More to the point, why are we trying to do a joining maneuver in station limits of the box, in a non-permissive area.

For doing a join, perhaps try using the GPL's (CH54/55) into Rugeley Trent Valley station.

Get out clause:
The freight train is longer than the station track circuit so it needs to see both trains at this location.

I know it's not really right to try and do the move, but surely there's something wrong about the loco stopping at the Power Station Jn rather than attempting to get as close as possible to Rugeley Town?

As I understand it, the engine was behind the train but not "in" the station so it didn't feel the urge to join.
