Hi

I have a new question ::

While running Glouchester the 1B83 arrived at the UR track beside platform 4 as sheduled
The train must now join the train at platfporm 4 with 1E21 directing Lydney.

I cleared the 1b83 to TD 0B83 and cleared the train to Barnwoord Jn ULG. but the train remains at signal 233 (the sim is not as Pause)
I cleared it with an run over the freighttrack in the telephonemode but it stil remains standing before Sig 233
Now I abandon timetable, but the train still remains at 233 in the upwards direction.
While the whole track is cleared from UR passing sigs 233, 421 and 425

The plan is go to UGL Brwd Jn revsere to P4 joining 1E21

What am I doing wrong ?

Can somebody explain to me step by step how to join a train and how to divide or seperate a train accurately.

I have a problem on this box with joining train 0s61 to train 1s61in platform 1 this maybe wrong. It just won't let me join 0s61 to 1s61 and I have 4 trains backed up be hind it 1s61 comes into gloucester from the stroud direction and has to reverse at gloucester.

I've not been playing SimSig that long.

Thanks

Ben

I don't know which timetable you're running which makes this a bit of a guess, but two possibilities come to mind:
1. Does 1B83 change to 0B83, or does it divide (DF0B83 on the timetable?) If it divides that can take a few minutes before 0B83 is ready - it will show in the F2 list when it is as well as a message in the message box
telling you "finished dividing trains".
2. You set the route to Barnwood UGL - presumably signal 137: have you lowered the Horton Road level crossing barriers and pressed clear? because if you haven't signal 233 will stay red (and there the train will stay!).

Ben - assuming it's the 1985 timetable.
0S612 has to come off the (original) front of 1S611 before the other engine can join. It goes to the loco shed. 0S611 then comes onto the (original) back of 1S611 and should then join - both split and join can take a couple or three minutes on occasions. F2 will tell you what's happening. If the join still fails, you can sometimes force it by going to F2 (after 0S612 has split off) and telling the remains of 1S611 to reverse direction! (right click on the train in the F2 select "signalling options" and "reverse direction").

Hope these help you both.

Hi Jrr,

All of these actions were done. The trains were on the platform but didn't join.
I always closed the Horton Road barrier. (I do forget to open after passing a train)

I work with two screens so in my 2nd screen the trainlist is always on top.
But I will try the procedure again as described.

Because my help-File doesn't work I need to know the meanings in the timetable;
DF;
DR;
DL;

I also want to know how to print a timelineshedule and how the print the complete timetable from all trains
so I can have a direct overview just as in reality.
A signaltower has a print-out from the trainlist, timetable, and a timelineshedule.

While running the 1922 version I discover that all trains are diesel and much trains like 1K01 changed to 5K01 and goed toe the Carr Sdg.
But in the timetable most trains goes to the CS without resuming in anonter timetable.
I had at last five trains stucked in the CS and the sig 423, 454 and 417 were blocked and the track to the CS including shunts.

DF: Divide Front. The NEW train will be the section of the train that was at the front of the train on it's last movement.
DR: Divid Rear. As above but will be the rear part of the train on it's last movement.

If you goto the Wiki page on the site you will find all this information is listed in the tutorial section.

I'm using the top listed 1985 timetable. my 0S61 is in the loco spur at the horton road end of platform1 this came of a previous service. I tried the above 0S612 will come off train1S611 but 0S611 refuses to join, it moves up to the train and in the F2 menu it says eithier stopped at Glouscester or ready to depart but train 1S611 is in front.

It's really annoying.
