Although there are currently no matched timetables to allow chaining of Wembley Sub to Watford Jn, I decided to chain them to see how it works. To do this, I wrote a test TT for WJ based on the supplied 2006 Wembley Sub TT. This consists of only two trains for the purpose of the test. One from Watford Yard and one from Watford TIP sdgs. First issue: 531 points release does not work. I realise it is not required if either of the signal slots are used, however, if I have read the manual correctly, it should still work if it is necessary only to move the points (EG: points mtce or non-signalled route). Second issue: When routing a train from WJ plat6 to reverse at 309sig, the following occurs:- - Give slot WS401 for Signal WJ2006 - Clear signal WJ2006 toward High St on WJ sim - Route line appears from signal WJ2006 to WS74 on both sims momentarily - Signal WJ2006 clears for an instant (see picture below) Less than one second later, the route line truncates back to WS309 and signal WJ2006 restores to Red. If a train is sitting in platform 6, it receives an ACOA. I've tested routing a train from WS to WJ and it works correctly from both lines. Third issue: The Wembley Sub WTT is written for a non-chained sim. Initially, this is not a problem as the timetable will step from the origin location (Up Fast or TIP sdgs) to platform 6 but does not step from P6 to WS309 signal. No issue with the WJ side of the WTT. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Not fat ..... fluffy!! (G Iglesias) Last edited: 27/02/2015 at 14:27 by Mattyq Log in to reply |

Interesting. This was all tested, so I'm going to have to investigate to see what got broken later.

I can't reproduce this. It works fine when I try it. Log in to reply |

" said:Even if it's a one-off, it may be possible for Geoff or I to take a look at the code and see if we can see a cause. For example, if you get an "internal error" or equivalent message, we really need to know because it means something is broken. In such cases, providing as much detail as possible (and a saved game from just before or during the event, not just after, can help). "Internal errors" will always get fixed eventually, though it may take a long time to work out the cause. Other one-offs, like yours, might be solvable or might never be. But, yes, reproducible errors are much easier to sort out. Log in to reply |
