Having RTFM I sent a train into the RTC and got a message saying that the train did not have permission. Can the manual please be updated so that the RTC is on the list of places that need a phone call? Kev Log in to reply |

Ta Noel. However, even if the train has permission they complain that it didn't! Kev Log in to reply |

When I run a sim for the first time (or one I've not run for a while and gone rusty), if I'm not sure I just employ a little self-help by hitting F6 then have click for the dropdown list for places which need to be called for permission to send a train.

One thing I have noticed is that some trains for the RTC are booked to sit in the DGL. Then, you call the RTC and they request the Parkway entrance. There is no path from signal 448 in the DGL to the Pway. So without some creative shunting back to the mainline, and into another platform, there isn't really a way to enter Pway.

It does stand for Permanent Way. These sidings are indeed not accessible from the Down Goods, they are only accessible from platforms 1, 2 and 3, what we referred to as "going in under the box" or "in at 423", referring to the exit signal DY423. Entering at Way & Works was, and still is, referred to as "in at 418", a reference to the exit signal DY418. Regards, Phil. Log in to reply |
