Still having occasional issues at Oxley 15/04/2015 at 12:48 #71114

I was wondering if anybody has had a successful Wolves session with no issues at Oxley since the recent update of the West Midlands simulations.

I've still encountered the occasional issue requiring trains to be authorised by Oxley Signals to get things on the move again.

Started a new thread to make it current. Link to an older one below.

I am running on the newest loader, with the newest wolverhampton sim, with the 2015 TT, I am at 05:40, currently have 6G68 standing at OY58 and has been since 05:24 with only one train having come from shrewsbury in that time. I know also have 5J21 standing at OY59, with 5R21 waiting behind it in P1 also awaiting the road to Oxley.

I think there are still issues with Oxley which is a shame as its a great sim to play by yourself but this Oxley situation gets frustrating.

I shall play a different one I think until an update is done.

Thanks for your comments - as you say it is a shame the issue detracts from a manageable solo simulation.

A Train Describer window for the fringe line to Oxley (similar to those on New Street) would give early sight of any issue.

Wolverhampton I presume Andrew?

Thats a good idea, at least you would know there was a jam and could possibly try and do something about it by removing trains before they jam up the main lines.

Well spotted - I did mean similar to those on New Street - original post amended.

Thanks Geoff. I am going to persevere with this timetable and see if can note any other issues for your benefit.

As the guys above have said a TD view of Oxley would be of use, unless of course an easy fix for the issues can be sought.

I was wondering what happens in "real life". Would Wolverhampton contact Oxley for permission to send train , or , notify Oxley they have a train blocking the Shrewsbury line ?

The problem refered to in April is still there. I have the same scenario.
Pity really.

What version of Wolverhampton do you have, and do you have a saved game with a train being held?

Geoff,
The latest and I've run the update checker.
No, I don't have a saved sim with the issue.
